Photographs > The Green House
The Green House was built in 1729 for Sir John Bridgeman II. It stands at the north end of the Holly Walk and in later years was referred to as the Orangery.
The formal gardens are thought to have reached their peak of excellence around 1740. They also reached a second peak of excellence in a less formal style whilst in the care of Countess Ida around the year 1900.
